I have considerable experience with administering and maintaining Linux systems, and I am proud to be able to offer Linux Support Services – for both short term and long term arrangements.

With over 5 years experience with Linux and other UNIX systems, I am available to assist you in maintaining your servers, installing and configuring new systems and services, or migrating your data and services to new machines. I am intimately familiar with a variety of distributions and applications, including:

  • Fedora Core, RedHat, Debian, Gentoo, SuSE;
  • Apache web server, and common modules;
  • Sendmail, ws-imap, exim, dovecot, and other MTA;
  • BIND name server;
  • SpamAssassin, ClamAV and other mail filtering tools;
  • Squid, pen, Mongrel and similar proxy applications;
  • iptables, including constructing and troubleshooting firewall configurations and network diagnostics;
  • system backup solutions such as Amanda, rsnapshot, and others;
  • deploying PHP and Ruby on Rails applications;
  • and a variety of other services and applications.

I also have experience in a variety of development languages for troubleshooting and customization of your server, including shell scripting, Ruby, Perl and PHP.

Incident Response and Disaster Recovery
